The Red Sox beat the Angels last night and took the series 3-1. They will now go on to the ACLS and face off against the Tampa Rays. The series will open up on October 10th. (this Friday) The pitchers are yet to be determined. The Dodgers and Phillies will open up the NLCS on October 9th. (this Thursday) The pitching matchup looks very good. Derek Lowe will face off against Cole Hamels. I think both are terrific pitchers, and I have a lot of repsect for Hamels. It will be interesting to see what Lowe does in the postseason, as he could possibly be a Yankee next year. I will be rooting for the Dodgers and Rays. What kind of World Series would that be? Will it get attention? Who knows?
Joe Torre is considering top prospect Clayton Kershaw to join the rotation in the NLCS. He is being considered for the No. 4 spot in the Dodgers’ rotation to counter the left-handed bats in the Phillies’ lineup. A Dodgers/Red Sox fall classic would be awesome, but at the same time..I don’t want to see the Red Sox advance. Honestly..I think the Sox would beat them up, but I have seen crazier things happen. It would bring a lot of news.. Torre/Francona, Manny/Red Sox..and two classic teams with rich history.
