Could this be the end of Pettitte’s run with the Yankees? It very well could be according to many sources. Since adding Mark Teixeira, the Yankees might be shying away from bringing back Pettitte for another year. I think it would be a good idea to bring him back, because you could never have to much pitching. Putting Andy in the 5th spot would be the best idea. Then you can have Hughes as an insurance policy just in case someone can’t go that day or gets injured. I would love to have Hughes get the spot in the rotation, but I think the staff needs more depth and it couldn’t hurt Phil if he spent some more time in the minors.
