All you hear about is how expensive tickets are at the new Yankee Stadium. You guys have to stop complaining. Do you guys have to sit in the front row to watch a game? I would sit in the last row of the upper deck or the bleachers to see a game. Honestly..most of the true fans sit there. I’m not trying to bash those who sit at field level, in suites, or in the front row. Haha. It’s just that there isn’t a huge jump in ticket prices in the higher level seating. People don’t need to drop there whole paycheck to see a Yankee game. They can go sit in the bleachers for $12.

“Of the non-premium seats, 88 percent will be less than $100,” he said. “It’s easy to say that that’s not cheap, but on the other 55 percent of the ballpark is going to be $45 or less. That’s over 24,000 seats. We recognize everybody can’t afford the suites. At the same time, we’re trying to allow those suite prices to subsidize the other seating in the stadium. Look, the bleachers are $12, will be $12. The grandstand is $20 and $25, will be $20 and $25.”
He also said that 25,000 seats from the final year of the current ballpark won’t be increased for this season. The Yankees are now charging anywhere from $500- $2,500 for seats surrounding home plate. That is a lot of money, but nobody is forcing you to sit there or even go to the game. I didn’t even go to see one game last year in the stadium’s final year. I don’t recall ever sitting in the field level area at Yankee Stadium. That’s right. NEVER. I wish I could say that I have. I’m always in the upper deck. I don’t complain. The Yankees put a great product out on the field, and if the tickets are in demand and they can sell them..why not? We are all aware that the economy is bad, but it shouldn’t stop you from going to a Yankee game. There are plenty of affordable seats.

The NYY are having a very very very difficult time selling the $500, $850 and $2500 legend seats….They have really messed up and will have egg on their face for not reading the tea leaves sooner and seeing that the country and NYC are basically staring at a DEPRESSION …..and even if we were not these face value prices are a disgrace to every Yankee fan and you should be defending them, imo (and i have been a fan since 1975) and HAVE sat in the FBOX EVERY TIME i go to the stadium !!! and there is no way i will be paying that pig Randy Levine $1 of my hard earned money
