This is not the big news it once would have been, as Wang turned in a historically poor season this year and has flitted on to and off of the DL several times. It isn’t clear what is to come for the Taiwanese RHP, but earlier this week Peter Abraham suggested that the Yankees could go so far as to non tender him in the offseason, as it is unlikely that he would be able to contribute before hitting free agency following 2010.
