Late Friday it was reported that Roy Halladay would waive his no trade clause in order to be traded to the Yankees, if the possibility came up. Today, Buster Olney has reported that Halladay’s preferred locations would be the Yankees, Red Sox, Angels and the Phillies.
Considering that the Phillies refused to trade Kyle Drabek specifically and other high level prospects for Halladay or Lee last summer, I can’t see them suddenly pulling a 180 and dealing them for Halladay.
I have no idea what the situation might be with the Angels, but at the moment I would think that they are dealing with their own free agents right now, so that leaves two likely teams.
Like man times in the past, I wouldn’t be surprised if this will almost certainly come down to a Yankees-Red Sox battle. As always, if anything else breaks, Zells has you covered, so stick close.

Who, in your opinion, would be, hypothetically part of package???
Either Joba or Hughes (i prefer giving up the latter), Montero or Jackson? someone else???
thanks for the update
Personally, I think that the Yankees would hypothetically give up Hughes and Montero and maybe a lesser prospect. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they asked for Joba and Montero. Giving up either Joba or Phil would be tough. Montero, I love his bat, but his defense is suspect. We’ll see I guess.
