Truth be told, at the beginning of last year, I didn’t even know that Chan Ho Park was pitching anymore. After Texas, I thought no one bothered to sign him. Apparently, I was wrong. 2009 for Chan Ho Park was admittedly pretty good. He spent a majority of the time in 2009 as a reliever and did well. He pitched to a tune of 2-2, 2.52 ERA in 50 innings pitched during said time as a reliever.
Looking Ahead to 2010: CHoP likely will be used as a middle reliever as the role of setup is pretty entrenched with Joba/Phil and maybe David Robertson. CHoP likely won’t have as much success in the bullpen in 2010 as he did in 2009. Going from the NL to the AL typically is a tough switch, just ask CHoP himself. However, I don’t see CHoP being as ineffective as he was with Texas considering the small amount of batters he will be facing each appearance. Even if CHoP doesn’t work out, the Yankees could also eat the contract considering it is only $1.2 million.
2010 Projection: 60 games, 4-3, 3.83 ERA,

I wish the Yanks would give ME a 1.2 mil contract and eat it. I can be just as bad as Chan Ho
