I like Fenway park as much as anyone, but why should Tek poke fun at Yankee Stadium? I don’t know why he would say this stuff, especially when he plays in the oldest stadium in baseball. I’m sure Fenway has it’s shares of problems as well. I don’t think Varitek should be talking about anything smelling bad, because he stinks. (’08- .220 13HR 43RBI)

Well it is a good thing that Captain (Dick) won’t be playing at the old or new Yankee Stadium. I wonder how he will like being on the Kansas City Royals Single A affiliate as the piss boy, because that is the only thing he is good for.
Varitek can blow me. How often do .200 hitters get to play on MLB fields? That son of a bitch should be thankful.
I seem to remember Varitek being in NY for the All-Star game. Remember…the one that JD Drew was the MVP of.
It’s true that he was at the midsummer classic, but he didn’t deserve it. He only made the team because he was voted in by the players, which has nothing to do with his performance this year. I respect Varitek..and he has had a good career, but he din’t deserve the all-star nod. He finished the year hitting .220 with less then 15HR and 50RBI. He was not worthy. Pierzynski should have gotten the roster spot instead.

Varitek. He didn’t even coin the phrase hot garbage—the reporter did. It is an effort for this boy to sit upright and read without moving his lips. A mouthbreather since birth, he has been linked to boxes of hammers, shower curtails and a bowl of grape nuts for intellect. He hits less than he weighs, has played in Fenway—where on ANY day the smell of urine and Pine-Sol permeates the air (New Orleans at 12:30 a.m. is the best analogy). Why would anyone listen to let alone care what this dumb ass has to say. Too bad he will be gone. I will miss him.
