Atlanta Braves won’t meet price for Xavier Nady
January 16, 2009 by Kevin Rozell
Ken Rosenthal had a few Yankees updates….
The Braves are now looking for a hitter, but with the additions of Derek Lowe and Kenshin Kawakami…they aren’t looking to break the bank.
The Yankees are setting a high price on Nady, and Atlanta isn’t looking to meet them. Andruw Jones was released by the Dodgers Thursday, so he could possibly go back to Atlanta. He can now be had for the minimum salary. Rosenthal also notes that they have little interest in Sheets, and they don’t seem to be very serious about bringing in Freddy Garcia.
